Collaboration with a community-based organization to create a dedicated time for the organization’s clients to gain easy access to a new patient appointment
Currently working with two Community Based Organization (CBOs) - one for recent immigrants from West Africa, one for individuals who recently left jail or prison
Precepting by dedicated faculty with expertise in care for the patient populations
Skills Clinic
Clinical Experience at CHCC
Dedicated time to practice primary care skills with trained faculty
Current skills include Nexplanon insertion and removal, joint injection, assessment of people seeking asylum + affidavit writing, and medical marijuana prescribing
